So two of my goals this year are to blog consistently, and to give my site a makeover. I've been loving blogging so far, and am happy that I'm actually sticking with it this time (if you guys knew how many times I've tried to start a blog, you'd laugh). I like the way my blog is headed and have big plans for the future of it. One thing I need to get better at is "promoting" my blog. I'm SO shy, and I find it a little hard to leave links on every blog I love just for the sake of getting more followers. I honestly don't want to be annoying! However, I do want to have more readers (not gonna lie haha). I want to be more excited about sharing bits of my life on here, and it would make me feel better if there were people out there who enjoyed reading what's on my mind.
I know that there are people out there who stumble across my blog every now and then because they comment, and I'm so thankful for you! So today, I added a "followers" widget on the side of my blog. There's also a "Bloglovin'" tab above ^.I would love it if you guys would follow my blog if you enjoy reading it :-).
I would also like to add a couple of buttons to the side bar. I'm thinking about getting someone out there to redo everything for me, as I have no HTML experience whatsoever. haha.
Another thing I'd like to do is sponsor other blogs. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while but I would like to get at least 100 posts on here first (motivation for me). I really want people to enjoy reading what I have to say, and I think 100 posts gives people an idea of who I am and what I like to write about. I put a lot of thought into what I post on this blog because I want to be as honest as possible. I want to have a connection with my readers, if that makes any sense.
I would love to hear what all you new bloggers think about "promoting". Do you like it? Are you a little afraid of it? I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?!

DeleteI think your blog is super cute! i've been on a mission to re-vamp my blog and gain more readers in 2013 as well.honestly promotion is not my strong point (an introvert thing??...maybe.)I'd like to think that i'm less awkward via the internet but sometimes i doubt that. i've done a few "blog hops" lately and that's a cool way of learning new blogs and promoting mine without having to make any big statements or anything! To answer your questions--no, i don't like promoting and it is always a little awkward--but it is a necessary evil!

I think the main reason I've stayed away from things like that is because I honestly have no clue how they work haha!
