25 random facts about me.

Hey guys. I thought it would be fun to do one of these since my blog is pretty new!

1// I love updos more than I like having my hair out. I honestly don't know why!

2// Speaking of hair, mine used to be straight. From about 4 years old to about 1 1/2 years ago, my hair was straightened using a chemical relaxer every 6-8 weeks. In July of 2011, I decided that I didn't want to do it anymore because I felt like I was hiding a part of who I was by not wearing my natural hair. I also didn't like the fact that I was slathering my head in dangerous chemicals every month (have you seen what's in this stuff?). I wanted to be as natural as possible and this was the first step. So, I cut all my hair off (I literally had about an inch of hair on my head.) and let my hair grow out the way it wanted to. I'm still trying to grow it out, as it's still a bit short, and although I'm still getting used to this new hair texture, it's one of the best decisions I've made for myself.

3// I'm really awkward when I meet new people. 

4// I laugh when I'm nervous. A lot.

5// My favorite shows are the original Twilight Zone and Seinfeld. Hands down.

6// I can't get my nails to grow without getting this urge to cut them really short. My nails are so short, many people have asked if I bite them, but I don't!

7//  I am fluent in German, but my English is better. I also have no accent. I sound very American.

8// I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. 

9// I'm really afraid of the dark. 

10// I hate it when people poke me. Like, anywhere on my body. One time, after I told my brother and sister about this, they basically jumped me and started poking me everywhere on my body, and I started crying. I was 20 years old at the time.

11// I am 5 1/2 years younger than my boyfriend.

12// My first real job ever was at Chuck E. Cheeses. I was 16 years old, and I still  have to chuckle every time I say that sentence out loud. 

13// I can't drive, and I'm going to start driver's ed next month! I'm really nervous. One time, Greg tried to teach me how to drive. It did not go too well, that's all I'm going to say about that. Haha!

14// I LOVE cats, but I suddenly became allergic to them last summer. 

15//I have lived in Texas, Italy, New York and Germany.

16// I don't like wearing mascara or eyeliner because my eyes always itch when I wear either. 

17// I also don't ever wear any foundation on my skin because I hate having stuff on my face. I just feel like my pores are being clogged up and then I get this urge to just claw face off. I don't know why. If I break out, I'll but some concealer on that spot, but that's it.

18// I have scoliosis and had surgery to correct this when I was 13 years old. 

19// I'm an introvert.

20// I am 5'5.

21// I cannot and will not go to bed without brushing my teeth and washing my face. I don't care what time it is, these two things need to happen before I go bed.

22// I am not very proud of this but my guilty pleasure is South Park. I seriously did not want to like this show for some reason, but every time I watch it, I laugh so hard and I love it.

23// I am a homebody. I like being at home. I like sitting on the couch, watching movies, knitting, reading, drinking tea....basically doing whatever. I just love being home!

24//  When I was about 6, I fell on a slip n slide and chipped my front tooth. Last year I finally got it fixed. It wasn't very noticeable..actually it wasn't noticeable at all, but it bothered me.

25// I don't like wearing high heels.

Pheww. This took me like 3 hours to type. What is one thing people do not know about you? I would love to get to know you!
